Supporting Slow Journalism

The Slow Journalism Company is a small organisation run by a tight-knit group of journalists and editors with no political agenda and no rich backers. We don’t accept advertising in Delayed Gratification, and we rely on the support of our readers to finance our ambitious, independent long-form reporting from around the world as well as our photo features and data journalism.

We see the magazine as our line in the sand – a publication that prioritises depth, context and perspective and helps readers to reset their relationship with the news and understand the world.

There are many ways you can support our work.

The first is to take out a subscription or gift subscription to the magazine.

If you’re already a subscriber, you could consider upgrading to become a Patron subscriber – if this is of interest please email our subscriptions managers Beverley and Jess on [email protected] and they’ll be delighted to set this up from you. Our Patron subscribers give us the greatest levels of support and gain the greatest benefits.

You could consider attending one of our excellent online classes and events, to which subscribers get discounts of up to 50 percent.

You could also purchase a back issue, back issue set, print or book from our online shop.

The magazine has grown significantly in the reach and ambition of its journalism since its launch in 2011, and we have big plans for the coming years. Thanks so much for helping us to provide an antidote to today’s hyper-fast, knee-jerk news reporting.
